Responsibilities

Is a part of the stake presidency. Takes delegated responsibility for any duty assigned by the stake president. May act temporarily in the place of the stake president, except as noted in the Handbook. (Consult with a member of the Presidency of the Seventy or the Area Presidency if there are questions about active for the stake president.) The stake president has four principal responsibilities in presiding over a stake:

  1. Presiding high priest
  2. Common judge
  3. Oversees welfare matters
  4. Oversees records, finances, and properties
